Eschatology – Where Are They Standing Now?

What would you think if someone told you
that you would live for the next 1900 years?
Would you get excited? Would you wonder
whether your retirement funds would last?
Would you think someone were out of their
mind for suggesting it? Eschatology, Where are They Standing Now?, is an attempt to figure out where the people are that the Lord promised would
yet be a live when he returned. No, I’m not talking about people who were born any time in the last century. I’m speaking of people who were born generations ago and who lived in the times of Christ, who ate, spoke and ...

What Glory Was Not Revealed?
The Glory Was Not Revealed continues our study on What Body Did the Apostles See? Part II asked a second question, i.e. When was Christ glorified?
Now of Christ's glory, it is further stated that it had not yet been revealed. This therefore must include the post resurrection appearances for the apostles speak of this in their writings dated in the late 50's and 60's A.D. Peter, affirming that Christ's glory would follow his sufferings and that God gave him glory, also writes in the same epistle that Christ's glory had not yet been revealed, but was ...
Alive Till Son of Man Comes?

Would the Apostles remain alive till
the Son of Man comes? That’s a
simple question. The answer is not
so simple.
One would think that the apostles, long
since deceased, are certainly not roaming
through the streets of Israel.
However, according to the New Testament,
that’s exactly where they should be?
The following statement was published in
the first gospel, in Matthew 10:23: “When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.”
This is a text about the coming of the Son of Man. We commonly refer to ...

Daniel 12
In this, our second installment on the resurrection in Daniel, we examine the Lord’s divine commentary on Daniel 12:2. Did Christ See Daniel’s Appointed Time? In the first segment we noted that Daniel identified the “time of the end” as the appointed time for the indignation or anger of God against his people Israel.
Daniel 8:17, 19, shows that it was the time of consummation. At that time God would destroy the holy people, Dan. 8:24, 7:25, 12:7, and bring an end to the Old Covenant nation. It is also at this time when God would deliver the righteous, describing it as ...
Dividing Matthew 24 – In That Day
December 6th, 2008 | Jewish Eschatology | No Comment
We have examined two previous
arguments on Matthew 24. See
the previous articles in the links
below.
Here, the focus of dividing Matthew
24 – in that day deserves our
attention.
Why is this argument important in
the discussion?
It’s because most futurists conced
it is the second coming of Christ.
We do understand that there are
some who see the entire chapter
of Matthew 24 as fulfilled.
Matthew 24:36
“But of that day and hour no one
knows…”
In the next lesson, we will discuss
the concept of “no one knows.”
Our purpose here is to show that
“that day” refers to the destruction
of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, not a future
event.
To demonstrate our premise, we
focus on an event mentioned
earlier ...
