Revelation Bible Study
One of the messages gleaned from Revelation Bible Study is that the end is not the end and by that we mean the end of time and or life on the planet. The Apocalypse sheds more light on the passages in the prophets and in the gospels which speak of the life and the message of God continuing after Jesus' return or parousia. The word parousia means presence. It affirms that Christ is here with believers today.
Obviously, this refers to His spiritual presence. Erroneously, many believers expect a physical bodily return of Christ of the same nature in ...
Is a A Day A Thousand Years With the Lord?
June 9th, 2009 | Dispensationalism | No Comment
A common argument used by futurist in both Amillennial and Dispensational camps is that a day with the Lord is a thousand years. By taking this verse to mean that a literal day is a literal thousand years, they offer it as proof that Christ could not return in the first century. In other words, it cancels out all imminent time statements. Is a Day a thousand years With the Lord? Note the following.
Suppose you gave someone your address at 123 Street, Anytown USA, and they said great, I'll be sending your check in the mail. But before it arrives, ...

Time Statements and Eschatology
In this study, of Eschatology, What do the Time Statements Mean?, we look at the time statements that give clues to when Jesus would return. Most believe it is presumptuous to know anything regarding Christ’s return. The reason is because of the words of Christ in Matt. 24:36, “But of that day and hour no one knows, but my Father only.” How can we know something that God only knows?
The answer to that is we can’t, unless of course God reveals his mind to us. “Even so no one can know the things of God except the ...

Are You waiting for the Second Coming?
One church of 45 members in Strong
City New Mexico recently waited till midnight.
Wayne Bent, claims to be anointed by
God as the Messiah. Recently, he and
his followers hopes were dashed while
they waited till midnight for the Rapture.
They were tired of the burden’s of earthly
life and wanted to checkout early, via
deliverance from the Lord.
Somehow, they miscalculated on the
date of the Lord’s return. They expected
to hear the last trumpet sound to end
the year of Jubilee.
Unfortunately, all was silent and according
to reports from Strong City, Mr. Bent, went
to jail.
This is a clear example and logical end
of the erroneous ...
The Time Element of Bible Prophecy
September 22nd, 2008 | Eschatology | No Comment
The greatest problem some encounter when seeking
to understand the return of Christ may be one of
the easiest to resolve. It requires reading, faith
to believe and a little common sense.
What is the key that unlocks this door of difficulty?
"Time.” If this one factor were understood the
questions would quickly change from “when” is
the Lord coming to “how” did he come?
As long as the underlying fundamental of time is
understood and accepted, we have the framework
that can lead us to understanding “how.” If we
reject the element of “time” particularly “imminent”
time as will be demonstrated below, we are often left
open to form all types ...
