Now that we have in brief set each of the respective views before us, in our previous Revelation Bible commentary let us dig down a little deeper to offer critique on the Premillennial Preterist view. McKenzie wrote extensively on this view in an article posted on the Preterist Archive. He argues that full preterism has a few glitches in the fulfilled millennium in A.D. 70. One of his main arguments is that two of the seven churches are promised blessings that extend beyond A.D. 70 and are therefore experienced in the millennium. We set forth his argument below.

24 – in that day deserves our
attention.
Why is this argument important in
the discussion?
It’s because most futurists conced
it is the second coming of Christ.
We do understand that there are
some who see the entire chapter
of Matthew 24 as fulfilled.
Matthew 24:36
“But of that day and hour no one
knows…”
In the next lesson, we will discuss
the concept of “no one knows.”
Our purpose here is to show that
“that day” refers to the destruction
of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, not a future
event.

In our first study, we examined Romans 8:19, in the context of
of the creation. The primary focus of the study is Paul's employ
of the terms apokaradokia and apekdechomai.
In this study, the focus moves more specifically to the subject
of the end. There can be no doubt that the resurrection and
the revealing of the sons of God are intertwined.
"Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,
even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for
the adoption, the redemption of our body." (Romans 8:23)
