Nostradamus and Camping
Nostradamus and Camping at their respective times each have some common end of the world roads which never meet. They have both predicted the end of the world and nothing has happened. We are a few hours past the much publicized catastrophe announced for months by Family Radio which had many who spent thousands of dollars on billboards, signs and travel to publicize this non-rapture.
But how can people be deluded in such fashion with so many resources for them to get the knowledge and wisdom they need on the subject? Who's the blame?
While many choose to distance themselves ...

The Sky Is Falling! The End of the World Is Near, Again?
The End of the World is Almost Here! God will end it all on May 21, 2011. Haven't you heard this? Aren't we about sick of this hype? Don't the people who make this claims know that we can track their record of success (excuse me, failure) from the 80's 90's and early 2000's? Have they ever accurately predicted the end of the world? No! So what makes them think they will succeed this time? They have no more evidence than they had before and they ignore what the ...

House of Prayer
One might think that eschatology has nothing to do with the house of prayer, but that would be incorrect. We have established the relationship of the body of Christ, i.e. the Christian church as the hope of Israel (Col. 2:17; Eph. 1:13-14; 3:21) and the local church as having continued relevance in the present church age (Zech 4:1-2; Rev. 1:19).
This naturally leads us to ask questions about worship? Should we worship? Does worship and prayer have any relevance in the kingdom today? In prophecy, God spoke of the inclusive body of Christ as the house of prayer.
During the ...

The Local Church Post 70AD?
What is the status of the local church post 70 AD? Some see no relevance for the local church after Christ's returned in the first century. They believe that the church only continued up to that point, claiming it was a Jewish institution. We dealt with that fallacy in the previous article on Israel's Hope - The Body of Christ. We strongly encourage you to look at some of the points we made.
Since we discussed the "body of Christ" in particular, our focus was on the church as the divine institution sent down from heaven by ...

Is Christ Coming on the Clouds of Heaven?
The influence of Dispensationalism and Amillennialism have persuaded many that Jesus may at any moment be seen coming on the clouds of heaven. By this they mean that his return is near and that we will see him in the air riding upon literal clouds. But is this the manner in which the Bible uses the terms coming on the clouds of heaven? Should we look for a literal descent of the Lord in the skies?
