Flesh and Blood Cannot Inherit the Kingdom
In this study, we survey the text in 1 Corinthians 15:50 by developing it from the context of Daniel 12. It is often used to refer to a biological body. The reasoning suggests one's biological body cannot go to heaven. Therefore, he must be raised from the grave into a spiritual body.
In light of what Paul calls the natural versus the spiritual body in 1 Cor. 15, are not opposing states of flesh and bone versus a non-material spirit. Could the term flesh and blood have another significance.
We believe so and have indicated the ...

Revisiting Flesh and Blood
The statement "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" appears to be problematic in the study of eschatology. Especially for those who believe resurrection is yet future involving the rising of biological bodies from the ground or some post 70 A.D. ongoing individual body resurrection.
Once it is granted that "flesh and blood" refers to biology, it is easy to continue such reasoning and impose it upon the text. Readers should be reminded that Paul does not cite physical death as the starting point of his resurrection thesis. His starting point is Hosea 6, an Old ...

How is this possible?
It is a blatant contradiction, if and only if, by "flesh and blood" in 1 Corinthians 15:50, we mean biological cells and DNA. However, that is not what is meant. But before we address that point, let us note that some were inheriting the kingdom.

The Kingdom of God and Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15 is butchered by most interpreters, especially the text regarding inheriting the kingdom of God, (v. 50). In this writing, I want to suggest another angle from which to consider the meaning of inheriting the kingdom so that the focus is not on human bodies coming out of graveyards. This view distorts the chapter and runs far amiss of what the apostle had in mind.
