Understanding Jesus Coming as a Thief
Many believe that one day in the future, Jesus will come as a thief in the night. We've heard it in our hymns, classes, sermons and through traditions passed down to us. This teaching is so deeply ingrained in the psyche of the church that many never question it.
The idea of Jesus coming as a thief means this will occur at the end of time. However, the Scriptures never speak of the end of time. They do however speak about the time of the end. In Luke 17:26-29, we have examples from Jesus' teaching on ...

Leftbehind and the Tribulation Period
Some of the most popular Leftbehind books on eschatology are based on the mythological teaching of a future Rapture of the saints on earth. The
future Tribulation Period teaching books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins have steered so many in the wrong direction regarding the end times.
The idea that God will one day en mass remove all Christians from the earth is totally unfounded in Scripture. In fact, it is diametrically opposite to what the Biblical text says. The principle which must be kept in mind is that we're discussing judgment passages.

Our approaching in this writing will

We are given clear examples of how
to interpret passages using “those days”
and “that day” in ...
