Israel and the Last Days of the World
For Israel, the last days of the world would be the year of Jubilee, involving the release of captives held in bondage because they could not pay their debts or if they did, they were released. The deliverance from the bondage of corruption mentioned in Roman’s eight alludes to Jubilee, announced early on in the ministry of Christ, Luke 4:18f.
