Four Reasons Why I Cannot Believe The 70 AD Doctrine
“Some good brethren in the church have become obsessed with the 70AD doctrine to the point of making it a hobbyhorse. Simply stated, the 70 AD doctrine teaches that all prophecies were fulfilled by 70 AD. This means that the second coming of Jesus, the resurrection, and the Day of Judgment happened at the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. This may sound crazy to most of us, but those who embrace this doctrine feel as if they have found something new that sheds light on certain difficult verses in the Bible. ...

Eschatological Impact on Salvation
What is the eschatological impact on salvation? The first time I encountered the word eschatological was in the eighties during an eschatology (from which the word is derived) seminar. What is eschatology? The best way to define eschatology is by breaking the world down into its two major component parts.
Eschatos means last or final. Logos means word or study. Taken together it is the word or study of last things. Those last things, biblically speaking refer to the return of Christ, commonly in both Jewish eschatology and Christian eschatology.
Obviously, former group do not believe that Jesus has come ...

The Authority of the Bible, Preterism and Creeds
Authority of the Bible">Does the view one has of the authority of the Bible affect one's view of eschatology?
Perhaps.
Our view of everything affects the outcomes or how we view certain things. Take for example, this experience I had with my dentist. My former dentist performed a root canal but did not fully deaden the nerve in my tooth. At the surface all seemed well. But, when she got to the root of the tool, the drill became like a air hammer in my mouth. We had to have a time out. That experience ...

Nostradamus and Camping
Nostradamus and Camping at their respective times each have some common end of the world roads which never meet. They have both predicted the end of the world and nothing has happened. We are a few hours past the much publicized catastrophe announced for months by Family Radio which had many who spent thousands of dollars on billboards, signs and travel to publicize this non-rapture.
But how can people be deluded in such fashion with so many resources for them to get the knowledge and wisdom they need on the subject? Who's the blame?
While many choose to distance themselves ...
Revelation Bible Study

Revelation Bible Study
One of the messages gleaned from Revelation Bible Study is that the end is not the end and by that we mean the end of time and or life on the planet. The Apocalypse sheds more light on the passages in the prophets and in the gospels which speak of the life and the message of God continuing after Jesus' return or parousia. The word parousia means presence. It affirms that Christ is here with believers today.
Obviously, this refers to His spiritual presence. Erroneously, many believers expect a physical bodily return of Christ of the same nature in ...
