The Authority of the Bible, Preterism and Creeds
Authority of the Bible">Does the view one has of the authority of the Bible affect one's view of eschatology?
Perhaps.
Our view of everything affects the outcomes or how we view certain things. Take for example, this experience I had with my dentist. My former dentist performed a root canal but did not fully deaden the nerve in my tooth. At the surface all seemed well. But, when she got to the root of the tool, the drill became like a air hammer in my mouth. We had to have a time out. That experience ...

The Law of Moses in 2 Corinthians 3
No discussion on the fulfillment of eschatology should omit the study of the Law of Moses in 2 Corinthians 3. It is such a rich text on the background of Israel's experience under Torah, the events of Sinai and their application to a then present transition. In most Amillennial studies, the law of Moses ends at the cross, is completely fulfilled then, with nothing to be heard of it from that time forward.
This is the view of most. In their defense of that position, texts from John 19:30, Eph. 2:15, and Col. 2:14 ...
Kingdom Parable of the Vineyard

The kingdom Parable of the Landowner, also called The Parable of the Vineyard is spoken in the last week of Christ's ministry before His death. It was spoken on the occasion of the opposition to Christ's teachings by the Pharisees. With many people, they have a
problem finishing what they start.
However, I don’t recall knowing
to many people who finish what

Why did Paul finish the kingdom
preaching he never started? What
do I mean?
Well, if you have checked out the our most recent posts, you know that we have been tracking Paul’s “kingdom” preaching in Acts.
Efforts are underway to undermine the “preaching of the kingdom of
God,” by saying that Paul, nor the apostles ever preached the kingdom of God.
Did the Apostles Preach the Kingdom of God?
In other words, the logic is, if it can be demonstrated by the scriptures that the apostles ...
Is Fleshly Circumcision an Everlasting Covenant?

An Everlasting Covenant?
Is fleshly circumcision an everlasting covenant? Does God require circumcision today as he required Abraham’s descendants? Are children of God today bound under the terms of Genesis 17:13? Did not God make it a part of the gospel promise made to Abraham? The problem is a misunderstanding of the word “everlasting” as used in certain passages. Note: We are not discussing the medical merits of circumcision. For such matters consult your physician or urologist. We are concerned only with the theological and religious import.
How do we understand the word everlasting covenant from forever as olam is sometimes translated? See Strong’s ...
