10 Countdown Signs to Armageddon

We arrive at the last of John Hagee’s alleged 10 Road Signs to the End, the signs he believes and writes are the Countdown to imminent Armageddon. The last of these signs is based upon Jesus’ Old Testament reference to Noah and his generation’s experience of the flood. As in the Days of Noah – 10 Countdown Road Signs to Armageddon Past or Present?, suggests that we must answer the question of when the sayings of Noah applies.

As we noted before, Hagee once again appeals to Matthew 24 to make his case. The source of reference is the author’s “Beginning of the End,” a successfully marketed book which sold over a million copies.

The CUFI leader’s approach is a little bible text mixed in with newspaper headlines. This is always a bad sign of modern day would be prophets. When they mix the Bible with current events from the newspapers, it is a sure sign that what they speak or write as prophecy is nothing but very poor journalism.

The writer attempts to draw a correlative link between the wickedness of the people in the days of Noah to the murders, rapes, (more…)

Her report headlined: THE END OF THE WORLD: THE DEBATE HEATS UP.  She wrote that “the interest in end-times prophecy has spread beyond their circles and is not only shaping people’s lives, but even influencing United States foreign policy. She referred to the minority of fundamentalist American Christians.

According to the back cover of his book, Jerusalem Countdown, such a catastrophe “will affect every person on planet earth.”

Do John Hagee’s “Earthquakes” Create Cracks in His 10 Road Signs of An Imminent End Time?

Earthquakes - Road Signs of the End?

We are into the ninth of the 10 alleged signs of an imminent end of the world. Many who believe in these signs will yet be disappointed. Some will lose faith and despair of hope. As their predecessors were so they are, disillusioned about so many false predictions of the end.

As we demonstrated throughout this series, most of Hagee’s arguments are drawn from or dovetail into Matthew 24.  That is the undoing of his predictions. He offers yet another on his road to “no end time in our future.”  So we must ask: “Do John Hagee’s Earthquakes Create Cracks in His 10 Road Signs of an Imminent End Time?

His first statement in Beginning of the End, The Terminal Generation page 98, concerning signs is true. “Earthquakes are another sign of the last days.” With that statement, we have no quarrel. Rather, it is the application made of it that is problematic. He uses them to predict a future end time which is imminent upon us. He is fond of saying that he can hear the footsteps of Jesus in the clouds. I guess the rest of us are deaf.

On the other hand, Christ promised that along with civil wars, famines, and pestilences, there would be “earthquakes” in (more…)

Hagee’s 10 Road Signs to Armageddon End Times Lead to the Past

The Triumph of Titus and Vespasian

Eschatology Podcast

Those who see our times as the last days often appeal to the words of Christ in which he predicted famine and pestilence. These words are found in Matthew.  John Hagee as Dispensationalists are fond of doing, believe that the newspaper headlines and current events unveil the road map of the end.

However, we show that Hagee’s 10 Road Signs to Armageddon End Times Lead to the Past. As in the previous seven signs we noted before, this sign of famines and pestilences also belongs to Israel’s past history. Christ’s words key us in to the fulfillment.

“And you will hear of wars and rumor of wars. See that you are not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:6-8)

Famines and pestilences marked much of the landscape of Jerusalem and Judea in its final days before its collapse. Josephus records that a famine occurred in during the siege of Jerusalem in 70 AD on the Jews that is unsurpassed for its horror (more…)

10 Road Signs of Dooms Day Countdown to Deception

The Israel Lobby and U.S.

Palestinian Christians Suffer Racism

It’s probably obvious that a discussion on the end time is very unlikely to proceed to any great length without including references to Matthew 24. Such is the case with the 10 Road Signs of Dooms Day – A Countdown of Deception. We now address the seventh of these signs offered in “Beginning of the End” by John Hagee. The reason we focused on these signs is not because of the author, but because of the influence of the system of eschatology, i.e. Dispensational Premillennialism’s detrimental effects on society and foreign policy.

And, although the system is dying, it yet has a death-grip on many of its adherents. No, we are not so naive as to believe we’ll change the hearts and minds of many die-hards, great shifts are occurring in eschatology from the theological schools to the pulpits and pew. Their house is divided, sits on a foundation of sand and its just a matter of time before it completely caves in.

The reasons are those as we’ve been covering. The issue is their total disregard for simple time statements and interpretive rules when studying the Bible. Today’s post is an example of the same.

Days of Deception Predicted as a Sign of the End

The issue is not whether the Bible predicted that many would be deceived in what Scripture describes as the last days. That is a given. We (more…)

Two Witnesses Prophesy – Do Hagee’s 10 Road Signs Countdown to Armageddon?

Bible pages

The Two Witnesses

So far, we have completed a survey of the first five of the alleged “signs of the times” to the terminal generation. Each of them were shown to be without Biblical basis. America and the world is being sold a bag of plug nickel’s for Bible prophecy. It is so serious that those who do advocate blowing entire countries off the map with nuclear weapons, all “in the name of the Lord!”

In today’s lesson, “Two Witnesses Prophesy – Do Hagee’s 10 Road Signs Countdown to Armageddon?, we examine number 6 of the alleged 10 Road Signs to End Times, and further answer the question, Are We the Terminal Generation?” In other words are we living in the last days of a generation about to see Christ return to this earth and set up camp in Jerusalem of Palestine? As bluntly as we can be, no.

Now those strongly disagree have probably already stopped reading, so if you’re still here, it means that you at least (more…)

End Times Road Signs: When Were the Times of the Gentiles Fulfilled?

London 2005 Roman Solder

Times of the Gentiles

It is stated by some that Jerusalem will not be under Gentile rule in the terminal generation, a situation which had existed from A.D. 70 allegedly until the Six Day War of 1967.  This is an argument assumed to be based on the text found in Luke 21:24.

The verse says “And they shall all fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Today we respond to the fifth of Hagee’s 10 signs that we are headed for Armageddon with “End Times Road Signs: When Were the Times of the Gentiles Fulfilled?”

John Hagee’s Book Beginning of the End, Are We the Terminal Generation, (BOE) says that Gentile rule continued until the Six Day War of 1967.  Following this statement, he adds that David predicted the Lord would rebuild Zion and appear in his glory there, (Psalms 102:6). His objective is to show that after Gentile rule has ended and Israel sets up their own sovereign state having banished the indigenous population and government of Palestine, that Christ will then return to Zion.

We addressed the issue of when Christ returns relative to the inheritance above. Here, we examine the text of Luke 21:24 and the (more…)

10 Road Signs to Armageddon – Israel Returns to the Land Before or After the Messiah Comes?

The Land of Abraham's Sojourn

This is our fourth installment John Hagee’s 10 Road Signs to Armageddon where he says the Jews will return home. According to Hagee, since the A.D. 70 destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans and their dispersion, they were without a homeland until 1948. See “Beginning of the End,” p. 93.  He then cites Jeremiah 23:7-8, to prove that the Zionist’s seizure of land from the Palestinian Arabs fulfills Bible prophecy and prepares the way for the coming of  the Messiah? Here is our study for today: 10 Road Signs to Armageddon – Israel Returns to the Land Before or After the Messiah Comes?

Does Hagee have the cart before the horse? Does he have the tail wagging the dog? In other words, does the Bible promise the inheritance of the land before the Messiah comes, or after that event?  Hagee writes that Zionists have a biblical imperative to redeem the land. “Many religious Israelis are motivated by a biblical imperative to redeem the land of Israel for the Jews and (more…)

John Hagee – 10 Roadsigns to the End of the Terminal Generation?

Jews Against Zionism (book)

Religious Jews Speak Out

Today we continue with the third of our segment of John Hagee – 10 Roadsigns to the End of the Terminal Generation?” In this, we focus on the claim that Judaism  is the only nation created by a sovereign act of God.  In as clear words as could be stated, Jesus’ parable of the vinedressers exposes the fate of the Jews who rejected Christ, their Messiah.

“But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?” They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: The Stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.  And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that he was speaking of them.” (Matthew 21:42-44)

Now we ask in the light of the above, from whom would the kingdom be taken? The answer must be from those who were in (more…)

The Terminal Generation: Matthew 24: Dilemma

Hagee offers Ten Road Signs” which he believes confirms that we are living in the end of the age.   The second of those signs is taken from Zechariah 14:12-15, a text he believes speaks of the plague of nuclear warfare and/or chemical weapons.  This he calls the “Plague of the Middle East.” To understand the reasons for citing the Plague in the Middle East as a nuclear holocaust for those who fight against Jerusalem, we must take a look at the text. Let us consider, Are We in the last days, John Hagee – 10 Signs of the Terminal Generation?

“And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolved in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.

It shall come to pass in that day that a great panic from the Lord will be among them. Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor, and raise his hand against his neighbor’s hand;
Judah also will fight at Jerusalem. And the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be gathered together: Gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance.
Such also shall be the plague on the horse and the mule, on the camel and the donkey, and on all cattle that will be in those (more…)
