Time Statements and Eschatology
In this study, of Eschatology, What do the Time Statements Mean?, we look at the time statements that give clues to when Jesus would return. Most believe it is presumptuous to know anything regarding Christ’s return. The reason is because of the words of Christ in Matt. 24:36, “But of that day and hour no one knows, but my Father only.” How can we know something that God only knows?
The answer to that is we can’t, unless of course God reveals his mind to us. “Even so no one can know the things of God except the ...

Is the Second Coming of Christ Imminent?
Christ's Second Coming
Do the scriptures in 2 Timothy teach an imminence about the second coming? Do you remember what you were doing in September 1988? Edgar Whisenant had published that
Christ would return in September 11–13, 1988.
The prediction failed. Believers felt deceived. The world was disappointed. Whisenant was embarrassed. Are you disappointed at failed predictions?

God as the Messiah. Recently, he and
his followers hopes were dashed while
they waited till midnight for the Rapture.
They were tired of the burden’s of earthly

deliverance from the Lord.
Somehow, they miscalculated on the
date of the Lord’s return. They expected
to hear the last trumpet sound to end
the year of Jubilee.
Unfortunately, all was silent and according
to reports from Strong City, Mr. Bent, went
to jail.
This is a clear example and logical end
of the erroneous ...

Jesus promised to come in his kingdom before some who stood in his presence died. That means he promised to come in the lifetime of those living in his day. The phrase, “some standing here,” emphatically declares that the kingdom of God would ...

October 26th, 2008 | Christian Eschatology | No Comment
The subject of realized eschatology has quickly gained ground
in the end time discussions of the day. It means that all things
related to end time Bible prophecy are fulfilled.
The proper meaning of Bible prophecy is found by looking in the
past rather then in the future. This view is very controversial.
It is often met with shouts of heresy! Some would be burned at the
stake if the more radical futurists had their way.
Realized eschatology, also known as preterism or full preterism
continues to grow at a rapid pace. What are the major advantages
of this view compared to others? There are five components that
answer this ...
