The Righteousness of the Law
In Romans 10, Paul speaks of his fellow Jews who sought to attain to righteousness through their own works, a course which left them far short of obtaining the glory of God.
"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establishing their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.

Why Such a Rush for the Glorious Kingdom?

Why were the apostles in such a rush for the glorius kingdom? Well, according to some, they were not in a rush at all. They had no expectations of the kingdom and never uttered a word about it. This we have sufficiently shown to be untenable.
Here' we take the issue one step further to show that Paul used the same imminent languge about the glory of God as he did about the kingdom of God, the resurrection and judgment. See the previous post regarding Paul's preaching of the glory of God from 2 Corinthians 4:3-5.

Did Paul Preach the Glory of Christ?

In the past three kingdom articles, we've demonstrated that not only did Paul preach the kingdom of God as did Christ and John, the Baptizer, but he preached it in the book of Acts. That's not very comforting for the Dispensational view which needs a long delay between announcement of the kingdom by Christ, (Mark. 1:14-15), and fulfillment.
So, while they continue to play the guessing game, the rest of us will have to endure the glory of the present kingdom. Glory, oh yes, the glory. In today's study, we're going to briefly discuss Paul's preaching of the glory of God. ...
