The Kingdom of God and Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15 is butchered by most interpreters, especially the text regarding inheriting the kingdom of God, (v. 50). In this writing, I want to suggest another angle from which to consider the meaning of inheriting the kingdom so that the focus is not on human bodies coming out of graveyards. This view distorts the chapter and runs far amiss of what the apostle had in mind.
Flesh and Blood and the Kingdom of God
As we examine the context of 1 Corinthians 15:50, we should question why Paul uses the concept of "flesh and blood" as ...

A Day As A Thousand Years - Christian Eschatology
Second Peter three is a much abused text in the study of Christian eschatology (the end times and last days prophecy). One of the most abused passages in the chapter is verse 8. "But beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." How have the futurists, skeptics and Dispensationalists used this verse? In a word, backwards.
What I mean is that they have used it in exactly the opposite manner as that intended by the Apostle. ...

Leftbehind and the Tribulation Period
Some of the most popular Leftbehind books on eschatology are based on the mythological teaching of a future Rapture of the saints on earth. The
future Tribulation Period teaching books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins have steered so many in the wrong direction regarding the end times.
The idea that God will one day en mass remove all Christians from the earth is totally unfounded in Scripture. In fact, it is diametrically opposite to what the Biblical text says. The principle which must be kept in mind is that we're discussing judgment passages.
Christ did not leave ...
Does Dispensationalism Mock Human Rights?

What Is Zionism?
Does Dispensationalism mock human rights? Does it blindly support aggression against Palestinian Christians, Arab Muslims and Jews? Tim Weber writes that Dispensationalism emerged in the 1870's having originated about four decades earlier (1830's) in England in the teachings of John Nelson Darby. (Road to Armageddon, p. 13). Weber notes that the center of Dispensationalism is the belief that Jews would have to reestablish their own state in the Holy Land, (Palestine) before any endtimes events could occur.
This theological argument fit nicely with the Zionists Jews' belief that because of persecution, they deserved special treatment and could therefore ...

The Abomination of Desolation
Matthew 24 mentions the abomination of desolation. In response to the inquiry of Peter, James, Andrew and John, (Mark 13:3), Jesus answered a question concerning events and the time of his coming. The question, broken down into two parts, focuses upon "when shall these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming (parousia)? The "end of the age" is but part of the same question, (Matthew 24:2). Much of what is said in response hinges on the issue of what is the abomination of desolation?
Christ made a direct allusion to the abomination of desolation ...
