How do we understand eschatology versus teleology? Eschatology focuses on the end of prophetic events. It relates to what is temporal. The word means the study of last things. In this definition, the judgment, the resurrection, the parousia, and the end of the world comes to mind.

Teleology is the study of ultimate purpose or design. To help one understand the difference, you may ask? What is the ultimate pupose of bringing all things to an end? The answer to that question is teleological.

For some, eschatology means an end to time, life on the planet, and opportunities for salvation. This view fails to understand both (more…)

Can you help me understand the
death of death?

It’s always interesting to talk with
people about their concepts of death
and resurrection.

Most of their questions however are
focused on biological death and how
they believe the end time addresses and resolves the termination of

Did The Law of Moses Prophesy Till 70 AD?

Did The Law of Moses Prophesy Till 70 AD? If
you want to see an Amillennialist preacher
walk on pins and needles with tender feet,
ask him this question.

He doesn’t want to answer it. Rather, he
will attempt to rephrase the question then
attempt to answer part of it, and do a
rather poor job at that.

For example, search for this question in
the archives of the Christian Courier by
Wayne Jackson, and you will find it asked
in this manner:

“Did the Law of Moses Continue Until A.D. 70?” The blog post begins with a

Do You Pray For The Kingdom to Come?

As a third grade student, we had devotionals
in our public school classroom everyone
morning which involved the class singing
in unison what is typically known as the Lord’s
prayer, See Matt 6:9–13.

I later learned that this is the prayer that
the Lord taught his disciples to pray. In that
sense, it would more aptly be described as
the disciples prayer. See Lk 11:1ff.

However, after studying the prayer, I
discovered that I could not conscientiously
pray that prayer as Jesus taught his disciples
to pray it. Why is that?

Well, it’s because it is a prayer of the

How Does Paul Use The Term “Body”?

Jesus & Zacchaeus

The study of the resurrection is one of
great interest and controversy. That
conflict derives from the question of
How does Paul use the term body?

For many, body in resurrection texts
is unquestionable. They take it to be
so obviously literal that an alternate
viewpoint is considered ridiculous.

The following points should help in our
understanding of the body from Paul’s
view point.

First, we must begin with the motif of

What Was Israel’s Hope?

Natural pool in Gan Hashlosha National Park at...

When many examine the hope of the
gospel in the scriptures, they believe
that it is a “Christian” hope.

What do I mean by that you might
ask? Don’t Christians have hope?
Well yes and no. (We’ll explain that
later, so don’t check out just yet.

The scriptures however focus primarly
on Israel’s hope. To help us understand
this we’’ll answer the question, what
was Israel’s hope?

Paul, a Christian said for he “hope of
Israel” he was bound with a chain for
preaching the gospel. (Acts 28:20)

The End Goal of Eschatology

Hi, I appreciate your site,my question is: What are your thoughts on what happened After 70A.D. if the saved were taken up who was left to preach the Word ? Or were they actually taken away physically? I know the Kingdom would never be destroyed, but how was it to be carried on? Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
