The Local Church Post 70AD?
What is the status of the local church post 70 AD? Some see no relevance for the local church after Christ's returned in the first century. They believe that the church only continued up to that point, claiming it was a Jewish institution. We dealt with that fallacy in the previous article on Israel's Hope - The Body of Christ. We strongly encourage you to look at some of the points we made.
Since we discussed the "body of Christ" in particular, our focus was on the church as the divine institution sent down from heaven by ...

Revelation Bible Commentary
Now that we have in brief set each of the respective views before us, in our previous Revelation Bible commentary let us dig down a little deeper to offer critique on the Premillennial Preterist view. McKenzie wrote extensively on this view in an article posted on the Preterist Archive. He argues that full preterism has a few glitches in the fulfilled millennium in A.D. 70. One of his main arguments is that two of the seven churches are promised blessings that extend beyond A.D. 70 and are therefore experienced in the millennium. We set forth his argument below.

Premillennial Preterism
Premillennial Preterism is the term ascribed to those who believe that Christ returned in judgment upon Jerusalem in A.D. 70, not to end the millennium already in progress, but to
begin the millennium of a 1000Â years. Unlike Premillennialism espoused by Lindsay and other Leftbehind advocates which holds the millennium to be yet future, it suggests the thousand years reign commenced in AD 70 and is ongoing.
As such, it shares partly in the "present millennium" view of Amillennialism only differing in the time of inception by 40 years. Amillennialist teach that the millennium began in A.D. 30, following the ...

Christian Prophecy
Christian prophecy is a misnomer of sorts, a name used to describe prophecies of the Old Testament reiterated in the New. Yes, there are many claiming to have a prophetic gift today
complete with the ability to foretell the future. Yet, the future or prophecy in the New Testament was not far-sighted but near-sighted. In other words, all prophecy looked forward to that which was soon-to-come-to-pass. (Phi. 4:5; James 5:7-8, 1 Pet. 4:7, 17, Rev. 1:1-3). Shortly thereafter, (A.D. 70) the role of divinely inspired prophets ceased. There was no more forth-telling to do. What once was legitimate forth-telling became ...

Kingdom Parable of the Wedding Feast
Matthew 22 contains the Kingdom Parable of the Wedding Feast. In these fourteen verses, much about man's relationship to God is summed up in this parable. Additionally, it is definitely an end times parable having much to say concerning the wedding feast.
The reader should notice that this kingdom parable is a direct commentary on Ephesian 5:23f and Revelation 19:7-8, where the marriage of the Lamb comes at the fall of Babylon. More on this later.
The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son. He sent invitations through his ...
