What is the Power of Prophecy?

Power of Prophecy
What is the power of prophecy? One of the best ways I can illustrate the answer to that question as an introduction is to tell you about my own personal story. Shortly after becoming a Christian, I was told that there were several religions and that Christianity might not be true. This greatly disturbed me as I surely was seeking God at the time and wanted to know that I had done the right thing by obeying the Bible.
I was in despair, and certainly void of the skills I have developed in research, the many resources I have ...

Adoption Belonged to the Old Covenant People Israel
Concerning Israel's adoption, Paul wrote, "For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the services of God, and the promises; of whom are the fathers and from whom, according tot he flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen." (Rom. 9:3-5).
That the apostle is specifically speaking of Israel is evident from verse six. This point cannot be denied. Yet, in ...

"That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him?
To answer this question, we must analyze two important points in the text. First, we ask, what is the "fullness of the times?" According to the Galatians letter, this refers to the period of the Law of Moses. But when the ...

It is about the complete dominion over the enemies of God so that a Christian can live with the blessed assurance and confidence of their walk in Christ today. They need not fear those enemies. Let's consider them, but first let's discuss defeated eschatology.

Defeated Eschatology
When I speak of the defeated eschatological paradigm, I speak of the views that regard the Sin, the Law, the Satan and the death as yet being ...

The Beginning of the World - Christian Eschatology: We're often asked, what is left for us if Christ has come? Where is our hope? Is this all we get? How much more ungrateful, simplistic and narrow a viewpoint can this be? That's not to say the questions are not honest, but they do lack just bit of depth in thought.
What do we have now that Christ has come? How about everything, including the world? Is that enough? "Therefore, let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or ...
