End of the World 2012 and Population Growth
Do we have a little conflict with the end of the world 2012? Scientists report that by the year 2050, the population on earth will exceed 10 billion people.
Apparently, they are not expecting the alleged Rapture or the alleged future second coming to have much of an impact. Dispensationalists have not convinced these scientists that the alleged Rapture will take care of all future population growth.
Obviously, they expect the year 2012 to pass without so much as a spark, let alone the end of the planet.
The Earth Abides Forever
Seems we have another statement ...

The Abomination of Desolation
Matthew 24 mentions the abomination of desolation. In response to the inquiry of Peter, James, Andrew and John, (Mark 13:3), Jesus answered a question concerning events and the time of his coming. The question, broken down into two parts, focuses upon "when shall these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming (parousia)? The "end of the age" is but part of the same question, (Matthew 24:2). Much of what is said in response hinges on the issue of what is the abomination of desolation?
Christ made a direct allusion to the abomination of desolation ...
When Are Daniel’s 70 Weeks Fulfilled?

Much has been written on the prophetic
text of the Babylonian exile of Judah in
an attempt to answer the question,
When are Daniel’s 70 Weeks Fulfilled?
Perhaps no prophetic text suffers more
at the hands of exegetes than does that
of Daniel 9:24–27.
Dispensationalist Thomas Ice and others in that movement argue for
a literal interpretation of the 70 weeks.
However, their literalizing of the text results in both a logical contradiction and abandonment of their premise by inserting a 2000 plus year gap.
They insert thousands of “weeks” into the final week resulting in non-fulfillment of the prophecy. However, the prophecy contains a very simple guide-post ...
Dividing Matthew 24 – In That Day
December 6th, 2008 | Jewish Eschatology | No Comment
We have examined two previous
arguments on Matthew 24. See
the previous articles in the links
below.
Here, the focus of dividing Matthew
24 – in that day deserves our
attention.
Why is this argument important in
the discussion?
It’s because most futurists conced
it is the second coming of Christ.
We do understand that there are
some who see the entire chapter
of Matthew 24 as fulfilled.
Matthew 24:36
“But of that day and hour no one
knows…”
In the next lesson, we will discuss
the concept of “no one knows.”
Our purpose here is to show that
“that day” refers to the destruction
of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, not a future
event.
To demonstrate our premise, we
focus on an event mentioned
earlier ...
Is the Day of the Lord Near?

Is The Day of the Lord Near?
The prophets all spoke of the day of the Lord. However, they all spoke of a time that was future to their day. Is the day of the Lord near to us?
Peter records that they did not prophesy for their time, but for a future generation. Abraham, who likewise saw the day of the Lord, (John 8:56),
saw it afar off (Heb. 11:13).
On the other hand, some in the New Testament saw the day of the Lord as having occurred as early as the mid-first century. (2 Thess 2:1).
Why is there such a wide span of ...
