As In the Days of Noah – 10 Countdown Road Signs to Armageddon Past or Present?

10 Countdown Signs to Armageddon

We arrive at the last of John Hagee’s alleged 10 Road Signs to the End, the signs he believes and writes are the Countdown to imminent Armageddon. The last of these signs is based upon Jesus’ Old Testament reference to Noah and his generation’s experience of the flood. As in the Days of Noah – 10 Countdown Road Signs to Armageddon Past or Present?, suggests that we must answer the question of when the sayings of Noah applies.

As we noted before, Hagee once again appeals to Matthew 24 to make his case. The source of reference is the author’s “Beginning of the End,” a successfully marketed book which sold over a million copies.

The CUFI leader’s approach is a little bible text mixed in with newspaper headlines. This is always a bad sign of modern day would be prophets. When they mix the Bible with current events from the newspapers, it is a sure sign that what they speak or write as prophecy is nothing but very poor journalism.

The writer attempts to draw a correlative link between the wickedness of the people in the days of Noah to the murders, rapes, (more…)

End Times Road Signs: When Were the Times of the Gentiles Fulfilled?

London 2005 Roman Solder

Times of the Gentiles

It is stated by some that Jerusalem will not be under Gentile rule in the terminal generation, a situation which had existed from A.D. 70 allegedly until the Six Day War of 1967.  This is an argument assumed to be based on the text found in Luke 21:24.

The verse says “And they shall all fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Today we respond to the fifth of Hagee’s 10 signs that we are headed for Armageddon with “End Times Road Signs: When Were the Times of the Gentiles Fulfilled?”

John Hagee’s Book Beginning of the End, Are We the Terminal Generation, (BOE) says that Gentile rule continued until the Six Day War of 1967.  Following this statement, he adds that David predicted the Lord would rebuild Zion and appear in his glory there, (Psalms 102:6). His objective is to show that after Gentile rule has ended and Israel sets up their own sovereign state having banished the indigenous population and government of Palestine, that Christ will then return to Zion.

We addressed the issue of when Christ returns relative to the inheritance above. Here, we examine the text of Luke 21:24 and the (more…)

John Hagee – 10 Roadsigns to the End of the Terminal Generation?

Jews Against Zionism (book)

Religious Jews Speak Out

Today we continue with the third of our segment of John Hagee – 10 Roadsigns to the End of the Terminal Generation?” In this, we focus on the claim that Judaism  is the only nation created by a sovereign act of God.  In as clear words as could be stated, Jesus’ parable of the vinedressers exposes the fate of the Jews who rejected Christ, their Messiah.

“But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?” They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: The Stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.  And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that he was speaking of them.” (Matthew 21:42-44)

Now we ask in the light of the above, from whom would the kingdom be taken? The answer must be from those who were in (more…)

John Hagee's Countdown to the End

Televangelist, John Hagee, Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist church in San Antonio, Texas and best selling author writes and speaks on Bible prophecy. In his Book, Beginning of the End, The Assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and the Coming Antichrist, he lists 10 reasons why our generation will see Christ’s return. In the following we survey John Hagee – 10 Signs of the Final End, Are We The Terminal Generation?

There appears to be no end to the numerous countdowns and endtime signs offered by modern day prophecy preachers. Every generation since the first have had their share of these grossly mistaken prophets. Hagee must join their ranks. Please understand, this is not a personal attack on the man. I do not know him and can only address what he writes and says about Bible prophecy. He is certainly very prominent and influential, and runs one of the most well organized Christian lobbies in the (more…)

How Did Every Eye See Him, Revelation 1:7?

When we share the message of Christ’s return in glory in A.D. 70, we often are asked, “How Did Every Eye See Him?, Revelation 1:7. Often the conversation degenerates with snickers and sneers from detractors. Quite often the response is, “I haven’t seen him, did you see him?”  The implied answer is no, of course. None living today saw Christ return in the clouds and therefore, it is assumed a ridiculous argument and proof that Christ’s coming remains a future event.

Such responses may gain the attention of the less serious bible student but have no value for those who are acquainted with reason and logic and the sacred text. Christ is unveiled in the Apocalypse in his glory. He is manifested as the Ancient of Days, a clear expression of his Divine nature. Crucified for his testimony that he would sit at the right hand of the Power (The Father) and come on the clouds of heaven, his testimony was regarded by the Caiaphas, the High Priest as blasphemy, (Matthew 26:64). However, that text is parallel to Revelation 1:7.

Christ told the High Priest that the latter would live to see him return upon the clouds. This means he would have to return in the lifetime of Caiaphas. In the same manner, not only would Caiaphas see him, reigning on the throne in the clouds, but many more would as well. In fact, all the land would mourn (more…)

When and How Did Israel’s Inheritance Come?

In the last post, we discussed the inheritance for Israel, showing that because of immaturity, they were the same as bondslaves. Their immaturity was not based upon age, but upon their legal status under the Law. An heir cannot inherit until reaching legal age. This we covered in Galatians 4:1-2.  When and how did Israel’s inheritance come?

Galatians and the Inheritance, When?

What did Paul teach about the law and the inheritance? Who are the true heirs of God? Galatians and the Inheritance, When?, provides clues to the questions of who are the true sons of God?  Secondly, it establishes why answering that question is important. The relationship of sons is about the inheritance. A key factor in the inheritance is time.

How Does the Transfiguration Confirm the Imminent Coming of Christ?

One of the most intriguing texts on study of eschatology is that of the transfiguration. What happened in that text is more than meets the eye of the average reader. Further, it challenges the modern prophetic concepts of a long drawn out protracted parousia. Our aim in this writing is to answer those questions. Namely, “How does the transfiguration confirm the imminent coming of Christ?” (more…)
