Peace in the Middle East or in New Jerusalem?

For many, eschatology centers around the
natural realm of national peace involving
the Middle East.

Is eschatology focused on peace in the
Middle East or in New Jerusalem?

Any reasonable person desires peace over
war and bloodshed.

When people or nations civilly work out
their differences, much good results.

While the predominant themes in modern
eschatological views focus on political and
military battles, this was not the focus of
Christ. (more…)

When Does Jesus Come in His Kingdom?

For the Son of man will come in the glory
of His Father with His angels, and then he
will reward each according to his works.

Assuredly I say to you, there are some standing
here who shall not taste death till they see the
Son of Man coming in His kingdom, (Matthew
16:27, 28).

Jesus promised to come in his kingdom before some who
stood in his presence died. That means he promised to
come in the lifetime of those living in his day.

The phrase, “some standing here,” emphatically declares
that the kingdom of God would arrive before those disciples
died.

This interpretation raises problems for futurists and Rapture
Ready dispensationalists. Here are some difficulties they
must resolve:

  • How a Rapture aligns with an imminent
    return of Christ.
  • Why Jesus said nothing of the postponement
    of the kingdom
  • How to maintain the integrity of Christ in the
light of the death of these first century disciples.

When does Jesus Come in His Kingdom? This hotly debated
subject need not be difficult.

How Can You Be Raptured from Financial Armageddon?

There is no question that a financial crisis was a sign
of the end time which came to pass in the first century.
The book of Revelation speaks of a beast who affected
the entire economy.

Under his designs none but those who had the
mark of the beast could buy or sell. (Revelation 12:17).
This had the net effective of a severe financial crisis.

Have you ever experienced a financial crisis in your life?
I remember back in the 80’s when I came very near
having my automobile re-possessed and within hours
of foreclosure on my house.

At the time, I worked in commission sales full-time, but
it seemed I only got paid part time. The problem had
nothing to do with the business or the economy. Some
thrived.

It had everything to do with my mind-set which largely
operated out of fear. That and the automobile company
pushing my back against the wall with demands for
payment.

Needless to say, I did not have the money. Two months
behind on my car note for about the 3rd time left me
with no wiggle room for a financial escape.

On one day in January 1986, I received a call from the
collection department threatening to pull my car. If that
happened I would not be able to work and make sales.

At my response to the demands of the collection agency,
I never in a millennium could have imagined what happened
next.

What Temple Will You Build Me in Jerusalem?

With mounting conflict over the Jerusalem temple,
the Israeli and Arab world are at odds over the
possession and destiny of the “sacred” mount as
it is called.

Israel remains divided. Some desire the temple to
be rebuilt. Others choose to abandon it entirely
to the Arabs.

The secular Israeli government opposes religious
control fearing it would render it obsolete thus
dismantling the secular government.

To answer the question, What temple will you build me
in Jerusalem?
, consider the:

  • Origin
  • Purpose
  • Nature and
  • Destiny

What Is the Last Days Significance of the Gift of Tongues?

I can remember the first time ever I was exposed
to a Pentecostal church where people claimed to
speak in tongues.

After the charismatic preacher worked everyone
into a frenzy, several men and women in the
congregation began chanting ecstatically with
an unrecognizable language.

I felt weird, not knowing what to do. I was about
20 years old at the time and saw young and old
engaging in this practice.

They explained they were speaking in tongues and
had the “Holy Ghost” and said that if a person did
not speak in tongues they were not saved. Further,
they claimed to have other gifts of the Spirit which
enabled them to exorcise demons and heal the sick.

I wanted to know more about this phenomenon but
did not learn the truth about it all until 1979, about
5 years later.

In discovering this truth, I found that the idea of
tongue-speaking was related to the last days and
judgment. What is the last days significance of the
the gift of tongues?

Will the Antichrist Come out of the European Union?

No, the Antichrist will not come out of the European
Union. The myth of the European Union in Bible
prophecy is based on a misinterpretation of the
ten-horned beast of Daniel 7:7 which is the ancient
Roman empire.

Due to the influence of Dispensationalists such as
John Walvoord, Tim Lahaye and others, Revelation
13 is supposedly a future prophecy of the revivification
of a 10–nation confederacy in which it is claimed Italy
must be a part.

This is nonsense. The error is compounded in failing to
properly assign the date of Revelation to a Pre-
destruction of Jerusalem time frame and an application
harmonious with first century history.

Additionally, the 10–horned beast of Daniel’s vision
did not refer to 10 consecutive kings or nations, but
was a composite beast, described as having 10 horns.

The ancient nations of Babylon, Medo-Persia and Greece
were swallowed up in the Roman empire hence the
symbols of the lion, bear and leopard imagery of
Revelation 13:2. Compare with Daniel 7:1–6. (more…)

Is Preterism’s Timing of the Resurrection in Eschatology Important?

Many would like to make the subject of the resurrection a matter
of the nature of the resurrection body only. While it is valid to
address and identify the nature of the resurrection body, it is also
valid to address Preterism’s timing of the resurrection in eschatology
if futurists and other rapture ready advocates expect to build a
convincing case.

“When Shall These Things Be” edited by Keith A. Mathison a book that
sought to address the major issues of the preterit view with the hope
of convincingly refuting them, Robert Strimple had these comments
on the issue of time and resurrection.

“Obviously an orthodox Christian response to hyper-preterism must
address the prophetic “time texts” of the New Testament…” , p 290.

Strimple however passes on that attempt, trusting that the editor has
done an adequate job. However, it seems that this impressive line up of
authors did not take the time to read and fully understand the
implications and ramifications of what they had written previously
on the subject of time.

In other words, Kenneth Gentry, Jr. and Keith Mathison, use the very
same text to teach the exact opposite views. This seriously impacts
Strimple’s assumptions on the nature of the resurrection body.
It eats the heart out of his more desirable “methodology” approach. (more…)

Resurrection in Ezekiel 37:1-14, Can These Bones Live?

The resurrection of Israel is vividly portrayed through the
metaphor of dry bones resting in the valley. The question
raised by the prophet in Ezekiel 37:1-14, is “Can These

Pauline Eschatology, Apekdechomai and Preterism

Egypt A Type of Death

The Exodus gives a good illustration of the bondage of death. Israel dwelt in bondage under Pharaoh, a tyrant and type of Satan. The message can be viewed as a preview of the endtime and antitype in the New Testament, (1 Corinthians 10:11; Hebrews 3-4).
